Thanks so much everyone on the board for sharing your stories. I also made the mistake of having the surgery about 3 months ago. Like many others, I saw the GQ article and saw his interviews and was convinced this was my answer. Now I am terrified about the mistake I made and how to minimize the damage from this point going forward.
I had a very shriveled flaccid penis and erect was about 4.5 inches with little girth. Post surgery, I definitely noticed the increased girth and flaccid length but erect length is definitely shorter by an inch consistent with others. I haven't been cleared for sex so I can't comment on those issues but I definitely feel the sharpness of the implant and wondered if that would be an issue until I saw this site and it was confirmed. I have sharp pain occasionally at. the tip of my penis but don't have the cutting/breaking issues yet but my penis curves slightly to the left.
After reading the horror stories and imagining how this hard implant will cause damage, my big debate now is whether to get it removed by Dr. Elist or go to Dr. Solomon who members have referenced has experience here. I couldn't tell from the posts if the outcome of removal was better with Dr. Elist or a plastic surgeon.
Also, unlike many of the posters before who seemed to talk to the Dr., it is impossible for me to get a hold of Dr. Elist. I keep talking to the post-surgical consultants to set up time to talk with him but they keep giving me the run around. 8 weeks after surgery and I have never been able to speak with him after the surgery was completed. How did others get in touch with the Dr. himself to discuss removal options?
Thank you all for sharing your stories, it makes me feel like I am not going through this alone. I feel like there is a very rough road ahead for me but I think I knew when I put down the money for this that it seemed too good to be true.
