By now it's fair to say that a good portion (if not the majority) of pmma nodules stem from injection point sites. We also know that, caught early enough, aggressive massage-pinching of these sites can break down the nodules. Given this knowledge, there should be a proactive step in place by the filler injector to mark the injection sites (if not clearly visible) and instruct the patient in the proper nodule breakdown technique. Done properly, this would theoretically dramatically reduce pmma nodules.
