Greetings paid members, registered members, and lurkers of our beloved fraternal online community.
As many of you know, the site was down for about a month, despite it having been active & functional 99% of its duration the past 7 years. In that time, members have wondered whether or not the Forum would remain indefinitely, whether the content would remain intact, and whether the fraternity and friendships forged in the process would endure. I've stated previously that these are no longer concerns and I promise that if I can't maintain this treasure trove of content, that I would pass it on to someone who I trust could.
I originally started this forum based on two driving motivations: (1) to supplant a (now defunct) forum that was once run as a shill factory...one that sold your penile insecurities to the highest bidder... and (2) a resource to those who could genuinely justify their pursuits in risky medical enhancement of their prized unit (i.e. the truly under-average, and the statistically unfortunate).
In the past three quarters of a decade I've seen members come and go, men who obtained their desired results and moved on with their lives, only seeing a fraction return for the occasional update. In that same time I have ran this Forum, ultimately out of my pocket, and did so out of a sense of purpose and pride. Granted, I have seen an influx of funds from donations and memberships, but half are devoted to paying site bills while the other half being part-time income that is easily rivaled by picking up a few shifts at the corner convenience store.
That isn't to say that the site can't create or generate a profit. But for those newer generations who don't appreciate the founding reasons of this site, it was not meant to be a business, nor was it meant to be some sort of commercialized or monetized entity. I started this as a hobby, a "blog space" if-you-will. We had 20 members when I started the 1.0 forum and I never expected to get to where it is now. And there's only that much more potential for growth since there is no forum like this on the English-speaking web. The plethora of content, before-and-after photos, and authentic testimony is unparalleled and unrivaled. And I praise the forthcoming and genuine experience shared by our many members that has allowed the site to take on this form, organically & naturally.
It may be time for me to reconsider my approach to a commercial version of this site. Originally I loathed the notion or idea that we would have ads, commercial accounts, or required memberships. This was largely due to the idea that this site's integrity was based on its unbias and impartial nature, and that the pursuit of profit would taint that mission. Now I strongly believe that those traits can still be preserved while pursuing new avenues of income, especially since I feel like this site has proven its legitimacy over a span of time. This will also ensure the site never goes back down again.
Here is the part of the thread that is probably the most newsworthy: I may not necessarily possess the know-how, the marketing ingenuity, or the tech savviness to really get the site to where it could be potentially. For that reason, I'm not opposed to passing the baton on to a new party that I trust to ensure this form remains the most trusted place on the web for content pertaining to the surgical enhancement of male genitalia.
I am currently vetting prospects and buyers to take on this site to ensure that it never goes back down again. I'm not saying definitively that I will in fact sell the site, it all depends on how much I trust the party involved and the offer provided. This is also announcement to all members and lurkers alike: members who may have a strong interest in turning this priceless "penisclopedia" into an even more accessible resource for future readers can inquire by emailing me at phalloboards@gmail.com . I'm entertaining offers as we speak and I do so with the intention of ensuring the site's sustenance in the long run, so that no one has to worry about losing access to this site or community ever again. Again I must reiterate, this is not mean I will in fact sell or that I will sell out. It just means that I want to move on at some point eventually and I want someone with the passion and drive I had years ago to breathe new life into the forum. If someone who's reading this is interested in making a deal, trade, or offer, I will sincerely consider it. If I find all deals are unattractive, I will simply maintain my position here and continue running it until I feel the benefits outweigh the debts.
